Burlington NC is a city of history. In 1993 this historic place celebrated its 100th anniversary with a plethora of special events reflecting its rich past. One of the special events was the unveiling of a gift from the centennial committee to the city. Today the gift can still be seen by visitors, who come to the Historic Depot. The gift was a colorful mural on the walls of the Historic Depot that depict special events and personalities in the city’s first 100 years.
A local artist, Rodney Moser, painted the mural drawing inspirations from photographs from the city’s past. Many of these photos were given by Don Bolden, editor emeritus of the Times News. Bolden, even provided research on what to base the mural on.
All Pro Media was approached to do a video on the mural based on the merits received through Tryon Palace: The Legacy of Dreamers, a project the company completed 2 years ago.
All Pro Media hopes to breathe new life into this Burlington NC treasure and record it for future generations. The video will include interviews from Moser and Bolden, scenes from the mural and many historic photos and facts to back up this fascinating story.
